keeping new year resolutions

New Year Resolutions – Are you keeping yours?

Of those of us in Britain who made a new year resolution on January 1st, 43% are likely to have given up before the end of the month. With this in mind, we thought it might be useful to take a look through some of the advice shared at the start of the year for those who had “new job” on their list of goals for 2016.

At Escape we shared our own hints and tips from our team of recruiters including developing key skills, the benefits of getting excited (not nervous) and avoiding LOL summaries (you’ll need to read our blog to find out what that’s all about!).

Over at Undercover Recruiter they also shared their new year resolutions including networking more, setting goals and saying yes to scary opportunities! They also gave advice on how to spot the signs of a great place to work. (We particularly like reason 8!)

Meanwhile The Ladders advice focused on polishing your personal brand, asking for help and being more open.

There were also a number of sites which focused their advice on revamping your CV for 2016. Some of these included Monster, Guardian Careers and Jobsite.

And while Glassdoor outlined reasons why it might be time to move job, TopResume provided advice on defining career goals.

Whatever your new career resolutions are for 2016 we hope some of this advice will help you achieve your goals.
